Meet the Team

Kim: Owner/Teacher

Kim comes to GymbaROO Malvern with 11 years experience in primary teaching. At the beginning of her career she immersed herself in the Early Years of schooling and spent 8 years teaching across the Prep – 2 years.

After the birth of her first child, her beautiful daughter Madison, Kim found GymbaROO. It was while attending GymbaROO as a parent that Kim then took on the opportunity to work as a GymbaROO teacher. This she did with passion for 2 years before the arrival of her second child, gorgeous little Isaac.

When the time came to return to work, Kim jumped at the opportunity to return to GymbaROO, but this time running her own centre. She loves the time with the children, watching them grow and develop. Making amazing connections with families and supporting parents in understanding the journey of their child’s development, is one of the most rewarding parts of being a GymbaROO teacher.

Kim holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and an Honours Degree in Teaching from Melbourne University. She has also completed the extensive GymbaROO training to become a qualified GymbaROO instructor.

Melanie: Teacher

Melanie has a Diploma in Dance Instruction and Management. She has been teaching children from 6 months through to teenagers. Her teaching began over 20 years ago and now the mother of two busy children loves that her work can be done around them.
Melanie loves the milestones the children she teaches achieve and it’s the reason after all this time she still does what she does.

Olivia: Teacher Assistant

Olivia is joining the team in Ashburton as an assistant on Tuesday and Thursday/Friday. She has two boys, Alexander 7 and Thomas 5. Since becoming a Mum, Olivia has dedicated herself to her children and decided when the time came to rejoin the workforce she wanted to focus on children.

“When a position at Gymbaroo became available I jumped at the opportunity.” She says, “It is such a rewarding and fun environment and I love spending time with the parents and children.”
